I dunno. Seems like the comm would do a lot better if, say, people were able to just post saying 'Hi! I'm looking for an artist to do XXX!' and then maybe have a tag for 'request: artist' or 'request: author' or even something like 'request: xxxfandom'. As it is you sort of have to slog through the claims requests/already claimed list to even find people who might be interested in working with you, you know?

Just joined a few days ago, but I'd like it to be known that I really like firesenshi's idea; posting a request for an artist/author and then leaving a list of fandoms you'll draw/write would make it *much* easier to get in touch with possible partners. =]

So, does this mean if a friend of mine and I decided we're going to take the plunge we can just post willy-nilly? Or do we have to go to the claims post?
