We wouldn't be a TV column if we didn't at least consider what Emily's joyful condition could mean for her character on Bones, Dr. "Bones" Brennan. More importantly, how will it impact the never-ending will they/won't they debacle of Bones-Booth (David Boreanaz) relationship? We went right to Fox to bug them such questions…

I'm kinda fuzzy on the timeline here. How far along is she? And when do they start filming for next season?

At any rate yeah I'm guessing that they're going to go the hiding route. Then again, anything's possible.

Well, actresses usually don't announce pregnancies until after the first trimester is over due to miscarriage worries. Based on the pictures from the Genesis Awards a few weeks ago where Emily already seemed to be showing, I'm guessing she's around four months.

They start filming in July, I believe.

I'm guessing they're gonna hide it. It makes way more sense than her having a surprise baby Brennan.

Then again, Hart Hanson doesn't really fly by sense, so who knows.

I have a feeling they're going to hide it. I think that's one of those storylines that they hid under the rug. I think it was a storyline they thought the B/B shippers would want, but I don't think it got the feedback they thought it would. I think it backfired.

But you never know with the creators what's going to happen. I don't think they should do it, I think it's a bad idea; I didn't like it when it was first introduced and I still don't like it. I think it's out of character; it was a horrible forced idea.

Assuming they hide it, let's hope they do it Cobie Smulders style where some of us had no idea she was pregnant, as opposed to, say, Courtney Cox at the end of "Friends."

That was great. I also liked how they handled Aly Hannigan's- "And we didn't see Lily for five weeks." Although I realize it would be impossible to do that with Bren.

I didn't realize Alyson Hannigan was pregnant until the "and we didn't see Lily for 5 weeks". That was awesome.

I'm predicting some tent-like lab coats and strategic skulls or clipboards.

The best pregnancy hiding on a show was Frasier, where instead of trying to hide Jane Leeve's pregnancy they just wrote in that she got really fat.
