Ooh I knew this was gonna be good when I saw how much you wrote - so pleased to see how far you went with the Extra hard mode!! Also, this is like hard mode on top of extra hard, since you also included specific inspirations, so wow, you really went all in. Edmund is definitely one of the more morally grey characters in the series so focusing on him was a great choice. Thanks for reminding me of his journey, awesome in depth analysis

As soon as I saw super-hard mode, I knew I definitely wanted to do Edmund! ^^ The icons, themes, and tropes were really inspiring, too! I'm so glad that you and thyla decided to open somein30!
It's so funny that #2 turned out to be your favorite! I was actually inspired by some of your icons for that one, lol! ^^
I really had fun with this round especially being able to talk about my process and thoughts behind my icons. I'm really more of a writer than artist, lol, but I don't get to write much outside of academic stuff (between school which is now over and teaching). I wish I could've made a few more, but I'm swamped with freshman papers....
I really loved how #14 turned out because it's a type of coloring that I've been wanting to do but could never quite get. I think it's one of my favorites from this batch.
'he was ready to sell out his family for Turkish Delight ' This will never not be funny!XD I loved reading your pieces of info here!Love the valiant/team and the next Jadis one with the colours! The cruel icon-very cool style!Destroy and the next two icons are my faves! Also that observation about the dress-wow!
Yeah, isn't it awesome about her dress? I have the book that talks about the film, and they mentioned that her dress was designed so that it was part of her and morphed with her the situation changed. So you don't really get the vibe that she changed dresses but that her dresses changed.
I'll never get that...Turkish Delight doesn't even taste that good. Certainly not good enough to sell out your family for :P It's awesome how much thought you put into this set <3
The text use is great on this set. My favorite is 10. The text, colors, and composition look fantastic. I also really like the 1 and 8 :D
Lol, I know what you mean! Especially if it was the rose-flavored Turkish Delight! It makes me feel like I'm eating soap or something.
But I'm guessing that during WWII that kids liked stuff like that, plus if you think of the sugar rations back then.... ^^
Thank you for your lovely comments! I really liked how 10 turned out. I've always wanted to try the text over the eyes, but I could never get it right. So I'm really glad this turned out all right!
My mother loves it, especially rose-flavored! I've heard about the fact that it's about sugar rationing, but it still doesn't seem tempting. I feel like white nougat or Baklava or straight up chocolate would make more sense lol
