SO. Erik's wife Magda gave birth to the twins, but the pregnancy nearly killed her, so they decide to not have more children. But Magda loves kids, and it leads them to adopting the Summers kids in the fully legal way. Magda dies before they can all really start being a family, and Erik is heartbroken, and somehow he ends up accindentally finding and taking in stray kids, just completely at random. First there's Angel, and then Sean, and then Hank (although he blames Alex for that one), and then kind-of-sort-of adopting Armando. And his house is not nearly big enough to deal with these children and their drama and hormones. So he looks around at properties, and finds this pretty awesome deal on this enormous mansion being rented out by CFX, and of course he grabs that deal as fast as he can because he seems incapable of not adopting a new kid every six months and he woefully admits he needs room to expand

I might have altered a few things from the original prompt but I hope you still like it. This is going to be massively long so you'll be getting pieces irregularly but in fairly good sections I hope.It was one of those rare autumn days when the wind was cold enough to turn noses and cheeks red but the sun warmed your clothes so you felt perfectly fine walking down the dirt lane towards your family home. Or that's what Charles Xavier was telling himself. In reality he hated the old place. Growing up, it had been cold, full of painful reminders of a past his mother could not forget, pain, misery, a brutal step-father. Really the only bright spot had been Raven, so now wherever she was was Home. Rather than dwell on it, and the new car with the busted tire miles back, Charles walked slow and investigated the countryside

Ruhig sein: Be quiet.
Wanda spotted him first. Of course Wanda spotted him first. She'd reached that age where playing house was the best game and wouldn't Papa liked to be called Grandpa to all her dollies and Uncle Alex was very mean to put tape over their eyes so they couldn't see but Uncle Hank kissed them all better when they knocked into stuff. Papa, or Erik Lehnsherr as the world knew him, winched at her high pitched scream of, “Papa, there's a boy“I see him. Please sit down and stop yelling.” She sat, but bounced so hard she might as well have been standing anyway

Charles grinned in relief as the battered car stopped and the engine was shut off for conversation. “Hello there! Would you mind terribly giving me a ride? My car broke down a few miles back.” He'd barely had time to process the driver - gray eyes that probably changed color, handsome face with strong features but thin lips - when a child climbed into the driver's lap and offered her hand

Erik was actually grateful for the stranger's presence after that. Wanda after a fight with her Papa was always more willful and a pouty brat, sometimes for days. But within minutes the English gentlemen - Erik hadn't missed the slight accent nor the lack of work calluses on his hand when they'd shook - had charmed his daughter back to good spirits by introducing himself as Charles Darkholme and patiently answering any questions she had. Erik's daughter was a good interrogator

The “Yes, sir, Erik, sir!” and mock salute had gotten a giggle from Wanda, a flash of white teeth in a grin from Armando, and an eye roll from the man himself. “Do call me Charles. Are there any other rules I should know? And is that cottage for rent? Assuming this is the Westchester Mansion and there's not another one in these parts?” He knew he was overloading the questions but they'd almost reached the garage and Charles was desperate to establish his interest before his prickly renter threw him out. Or he would have to reveal who he was too soon
