Charles/Erik, at an exotic place, making a documentary AU

Erik is the cameraman and Charles is a scientist or the narrator or something.
It's up to anon where they go and what they are filming. Maybe Antarctica to film penguins, maybe the rain forest to film the tribes. I'd like it if Erik is a veteran at this stuff and Charles is new to it, and Erik finds himself falling for this naive over-enthusiastic young man.
Anon can make it short and sweet, or an epic adventure story. If so, maybe they get cut off from the rest of the crew by a landslide. Maybe the locals aren't very friendly. Maybe they get attacked by a wild animal. Anything.

Brainless!Anon here. This is probably going to end up as a borderline crack fic-Haha-one of those silly “Rain Forest Adventures”, if you know what I mean. No powers, a compete AU. And I apologize if they are OOC, I didn’t really expect to be writing in this fandom. Hope you Enjoy OP!
PrologueCharles collapsed on the sofa, a safe yet reasonable distance from his phone, with a heavy sigh. He knew his sister meant well, he really did, but to be called out every day for the past two weeks on negatives of his contract-which if Raven was to be trusted, vastly overshadowed its positives-would eventually take its toll on even the most patient of men. And Charles Francis Xavier was a saint among patient men

Fantastic start, anon!
There's no such thing as a bad rain forest adventure, IMO, and I love what you've got so far and that little hint of Hellfire Club is awesome! And lol, Charles and Raven's sibling relations - spontaneously going to South America + storming into classes and hurling book bags. ♥

o.1
The first two steps off the plane were exhilarating. Charles could think of nothing better than the tingling of previously inactive muscles after an eleven hour flight. He stood a little straighter and prouder in those moments; the sensation marked the initial moments of the journey to come.
Unfortunately however, his third step wasn’t a step at all-a stumble really. Raven, clad in all her distinctly youthful glory (bright colors, strange textures, and absurdly disproportionate accessories), pushed past him in a huff. He’d been told many times during their wait at the airport how much she did not approve of this job. It was suspicious, strange, and silly. Why choose Charles, a soon to be Professor of Genetics to host a special on mammals? Her continual outbursts had earned them several looks and hushes, and Raven was only assuaged when Moira called, promising to cover any out-dinning expenses, hotel bills, and extra equipment costs in addition to their roundtrip flight to Brazil

Moira groaned, burying her head in her hands. The rest of the crew regarded her with a sort of pitying look before ghosting across the sight, their tinkering hesitant and amateur. Raven turned to Charles, a delicate brow raised in an expectant manner. He returned it with a look of his own before placing a comforting hand upon Moira’s shoulder, “It’ll be alright. I’m sure we can make things work

This. Is. AWESOME.
LOL, Survivor Man Erik, bad ass right off the bat. I love how you've described him, particularly the comments about the teeth and him being ominous. And of course he'd make an entrance by chopping around with a machete! And the "Mr. and Mrs. Mactaggert," LOL. Charles was so out of it.
Frankly, I think you're fine without a beta (although beta never hurts). I love this, love this, love this, and can't wait for more!

I leave for college in about a week and a half, so people have been (and still are) vying for my attention. But fear not my readers! I will try to update every 2 days. By the way the late night/early morning tends to make my brain come up with rather strange descriptions, as you will see…
o.2With half the day gone fretting over the status of their shoot, the group decided that it was in fact in their best interests to remain in their little clearing, as a four hour drive back to civilization appealed to no one, particularly one swaddled in darkness. Raven was the most disappointed. Gazing forlornly at the brooding jungle creeping ever closer beneath the night’s thick curtain, she reluctantly set up her bed roll

They talked long into the night, as teenagers often did, and Charles was reminded how dearly he missed the quiet murmur of youthful conversation-though it’s wasn’t without its occasionally spikes in volume. With what could most definitely be truck loads of bills and seemingly endless conversations with men, who while ranked some of the brightest minds in the nation, were rather dull when it came to the basic routines of life, it didn’t surprise Charles all too much to find himself reclining by the fire, listening to Alex, Sean and Armando (their self-appointed translator, if the need should arise) compare music styles, Moira filling Angel (their newest intern) in on the latest celebrity gossip, and Raven and Hank whispering quietly at the edge of the fire pit

Charles sat up slowly, squinting through the darkness in Erik’s direction. A flicker of light and thin trail of smoke caught his eye. Easing himself ever so quietly from his sleeping bag, he crept towards the sight

Yay an update! I'm really enjoying the vibe on this one, and I really get that sense of..camping out outdoors. And I'm enjoying your Erik, muchly. I didn't find your descriptions weird, though.

Thanks so much!! Haha you don't know how happy it makes me to hear that you like my Erik. I'm never really sure how mysterious I should make him. And I'm glad you're getting a feel or the outdoors! Camping was a big part of my childhood and I'm happy I seem to be doing it justice :)
It's really only the "menagerie of cosmic delights" that's makes me laugh. It reminds me of rainbow-colored Turkish delights , hahaha. I guess I was just craving some sweets.

I like this though! I like how it's panning out so far and everyone's reactions.
