Janos is a young prince of a beautiful kingdom by the sea. Everyone in his family has water-based powers, so the country is strong (the king by himself is able to beat a whole army) and rich. Janos will be a king one day, so he gets lots of present from the royals of other countries - sometimes very expensive, sometimes very strange.
One day someone gives him a slave - a weird creature captured in the country full of volcanos. The beast - or "demon" - has red skin, a tail, and spiked collar on his neck and doesn't seem to see anything - just looks at everything with distant, empty eyes.

Until he notices the Prince.

Bonus points for Janos tending Azzie's wounds from the spikes - the collar makes Azazel unable to teleport. The spikes themselves contain poison that makes him pliant and obiedient and dulls his senses.

You know, I've never been one for fairy tales or even for AUs that much but...this has captured my attention. I might take a stab at this one.

The women in the washing room are merciless with Janos, scrubbing away at his skin until it turns red, but once they apply some sort of ointment afterward, it takes away the stinging, kills most of the redness, and once they apply a second coat, his skin is silky and soft. At that moment, the demon’s head slowly tilts upward until their eyes lock, and Janos can’t look away. His eyes are an intensely bright blue, and his face carries a vertical slice down his left eye which appears to be relatively fresh, no doubt inflicted by Erik himself. Initially, the eyes looked distant, as if he wasn’t registering what was happening around him, but as Janos looks, feeling locked into place like he was magicked into stone, the demon’s eyes slowly gain awareness ( ... )
