Poor impulse control?

Now I've done it. I've ordered the remastered Pros boxed set.

Many happy hours of viewing pleasure are in store for me. But what will I do with the old boxed set?

Congratulations! I've been tempted to get it as backup. Such is life with an obsession. *g* You will like the remastered set!

I am very excited about it. I can't decide if that is a sad and pathetic thing or an excellent thing.

You know very well which it is! Hey, you can't get rid of the older set, by the way--the box captions alone are worth keeping it for!

Are you around? Would you like to read a sad and pathetic thing?

fyi, the new set has absolutely no extra material at all (not that the extras on the older set were anything to write home about). The color and audio on the "remastered" ones are much improved, but I'm still saving my first set for backup.

Welcome to lj! :-D

Thanks!
That's good to know.
I almost never look at the extras on my old set, but I'm astounded the remastered set has nothing at all. I don't feel so bad about keeping it around then. And yes, I need backup.

I know - I never look at the extras on the old set either. But the completist in me wants to have them anyway. It's a crying shame that they didn't do any extras on the new set.

Would it have killed them to cough up a bit of money for commentaries? Even from the stuntmen or the writers, if not from the cast? Grr.

Coming late to the party here, having seen your offer on the Safehouse. Hello from an English Pros fan! Looking at your LJ contacts, I would guess you have been in the fandom a while - very distinguished Pros friends you have, the pick of the great and the good, aren't they?! Would you mind if I friended you, too, by the way? (Well, you may as well have a little of the dross, too - to leaven things out!) I don't write Pros and don't often post on Pros issues but I do read and try to comment and watch avidly! You're not the Irene who writes are you, by any chance ( ... )

Hi! I would love if you friended me. If I may friend you back, that is? I've been reading/watching Pros for ages, but I am relatively new to the world of Live Journal. There seems to be no end to the ingenuity people have, and lucky for us, isn't it? (Not my scene, alas.)

I too love Proswatch and the codas. I've been lucky enough to know PFL for quite a long time, and if there is any connection to the great and good ;) it must come through her!

I love the story about your husband's cousin. I wonder what he thought was so remarkable. But I'm glad fanfic isn't more famous (maybe notorious is what I mean?).
