I don't know about you, but for me, relationships with guys are the single most distracting thing from my relationship with God. And sometimes it's not even hAving a relationship that is distracting. It's the desire. Maybe you should take a step back and see how much desiring something is taking a toll on your life . . . and your walk with God. I'm not assuming anything. But I know, personally, that I had to take a step back. When God says no, or takes something away, it's because he has something better in mind. And if this not having a relationship thing is really really upsetting you, then maybe you should pray that God takes away the desire. Relationships aren't what you are expecting them to be. There's ups and downs and they're strenuous. I don't really know what you expect the perks to be . . . I don't know what else to say except if you really want a relationship that's going to last then you have to be right with you and God first before you try to bring others into the equation. wow liz! thanks! not that you addressed that to me...or that relationships are a struggle, but some other stuff has been...and this was a good wake up call/slap in the face to me...especially the whole "when God says no..." it's tough to live with, especially when someone else or something else has been taking His place...well, i need to go finish an essay...but thanks liz!
