Another book about exchange students! And boy, is it ever awesome!

Ciao means both hello and goodbye, so I always like to imagine that this title actually means "Goodbye, Sweet Valley (and good riddance, you WASPy bitches)".

Hahahahahaha So really, the twins fail all around, but that's what you get for cooking spaghetti for someone bred on the stuff. FAIL!!

I had a swimsuit like the one on the far right! With the stomach and back holes! God, what an ugly style. At least mine wasn't yellow.

I remember this book so well, with her scooter and leather jacket. Thanks so much for writing it up!

Oh Lila. Corrected by Ellen. The Karen of Sweet Valley. Ouch.

HA!

yeah, me too. mine was pink with flowers on it. it was pretty racy i thought, almost a REAL bikini!!! WOWZ!

And i never understood why the jessica on the cover is wearing a one piece. as if she would ever one a one piece, even in purple.

I think everyone had a one-piece except Giovanna and Lila, and that's what made them so (to quote Stacey McGill) "sophisticated".

And yeah, Maria's yellow one-piece was the height of pre-teen fashion!

I loved Lila getting taken down by Giovanna in this book. I lived in Europe when I read it and I was all like, "Ha! Lila has no idea what she's talking about!"
