All I remember about this book was that the caption for the little extract-thing on the first page of the book (I don't know if this would be the same in the US version?) was 'Mary's Terrible Tugboat' like that, in bold. Hehehehe!
I always thought the person on the cover was meant to be Mary, but it's true, she does look exactly like Jess, so I'm confused.
I was always confused about the cover, too. i thought it HAD to be mary, because why the hell would Jess be on the cover? But then...why did it look EXACTLY like a wakefield? i was always SO SO confused by this cover.
He also owns a condominium and an apartment building. I totally read that as a 'condom' building. And then I realised that George doesn't need condoms; he's too busy working to have a social life and see his daughter.
Excellent 1st recap - the crowd cries more, more, more....
Oh the lolz - I do apologise! Unlike Ned and Steven, who are totally inappropriate (I still haven't forgotten the scene in the SVH book Kidnapped where Steven comes out in a towel and does Jessica's dress up with his eyes raking over the skimpiness of the dress or something - ick!)
The early SVT books WERE so weird. Probably the weirdest thing, to me, is the whole Brooke Dennis and "Jennifer" thing. I don't know why, but that always stands out to me as so very WTF.

Unless you pulled a Peter Griffin and chose the mystery box instead.
