Like more or less everyone else here, I was a big Sweet Valley fan as a kid/youngish teen (I blame my mother; she’s the one who got me hooked on Sweet Valley Kids, and the obsession only grew from there

This was one of the first SVT books I ever read, and i'll never ever forget the whole lining up in the chemist, tooth rolling down the hill, appalling singing outside Elizabeth's window...

wow, I wonder what vital knowledge or treasured memories were pushed out of my brain because of this stupid book? o_O

Thanks! This one really does have a way of sticking in the mind. I sort of skipped over the part where they're in line at the drugstore and Maria fake-faints so that everyone will crowd around her and leave the register open for Janet so that she can get out and stop the tooth from hitting Denny, but that part's definitely memorable too!

Amy probably thought Denny was faking. Or she didn't want to be stuck with him.

Why don't they choose someone who, you know, actually had/has BRACES for their stupid health fair? Oh, I forgot. It's Sweet Valley, and all the people there are way too PERFECT for braces. Unless maybe they're geeks.

When Amy came back to Sweet Valley, she told Liz she'd had braces. That must have been why she moved away. She couldn't have braces while living in Sweet Valley.

Elizabeth looks really happy and really pretty on this cover. I didn't really get into the SVT(&F) books when I was younger, but now I may have to start!

The recap for that one is currently the second to last post on the first page of 1bruce1. It doesn't actually include the cover that I took the pic from, though- I just had the book handy because I was thinking of recapping it until she beat me to it.

Why, why, why is it always Elizabeth? Amy or Maria could have saved Denny. Only Liz can be the ultra good person, yet anyone can be the bitch.

Lila and SVH Amy can be as bitchy as Jessica, Saintliness is reserved for Elizabeth alone.

The image of them all falling onto the giant tooth is hilarious.

I love how the twins look on the SVT covers. Liz looks like she is developing a bit of boobage.

Yeah- instead of earning their wings for doing good deeds, it looks like girls in Sweet Valley are rewarded with breast enhancement!
