I have to say I was reading this book a couple of months ago and my husband was like "Wow, that girl's dad looks PISSED!
OK, now I'm off to read the recap=p

HAHAHA. Splendid recap!
I would like a show of hands if your mother ever pimped you out for a kitchen.

Heh, this was excellent. That is no sixteen-year-old boy on the cover, though - that's the evil guy from a really low-budget action film.

I did read this book once, and all I remembered from it is Liz and the recorder. Who the hell takes up the recorder at sixteen?

Loser status confirmed. ;)

I... um... took it up at 23. But only for about 2 months. I could play Greensleaves really badly. I also took an acting class. I was in a "Try Weird New Things You'd Never Normally Do" and I couldn't afford a guitar or piano lessons.

But that doesn't mean my loser status ain't confirmed, btw. :)

Whoops, my bad! I guess I should be more careful about who/what I diss. But you gotta admit - St. Liz + recorder = LOL. It's the image of a blonde girl with barrettes in her hair sitting down to practice an instrument I played in sixth grade ... oh, lordy.

When ever a house is described as being like a 'doll house,' I wonder if it has hinges on the side.

I love that Robin came to her decision by herself. I think she is my second favorite character.

Awesome recap.

here is an absolutely pointless scene where Jessica and Lila meet Alex Kane on the beach, worth mentioning only because we are told that, instead of a beach blanket, Lila uses an old red Oriental rug that's so big it takes two boys to carry it.

Funny i was reading another book with a beach scene just the other day (think it was Two Boy Weekend) where Lila,Jess,Cara and Amy are at the beach laying on the afore mentioned oriental which was covered in bottles of sun tan oil, fashion mags and candy bar wrappers and i thought that sounded awesome. However the girls were alone at the beach that day and i did chuckle at the thought of them heaving it over the sand by themselves. I mean, those things are heavy...
