It's been likes, aaaggggeeeesss since I posted a review, but I'm back (I heard that groan of despair from the back row, ahem, shush back there)! I've been v v busy with RL crap, unfortunately (and exposing my soul for the chance of a tote bag; that made me hide in my bedroom for at least an hour, lol). I've picked a SVT book from random from my ( Read more... )

Did Dylan's wife later die in an assassination hit meant for him? Does he ride a motorcycle? Is he actually 35? Does he run into Brenda in London and start shacking up with her?

...I just started watching 90210.

LOLS & MORE!

'He even admits he got it from his mom's fashion magazine.' So, so sweet.

Mind you, this was one of my faves & I didn't twig to Tom's early orientation - I was very dim as a child about things like that - took me until I was, like, 9 or 10 to ask mum why Uncle Howie (neighbour) &'friend' always had their arms around each other.

Does anyone know if we ever hear about Dylan or Tom in SVU?

I don't think we ever hear about Dylan again - he's one of those 1 book characters designed for the sole purpose of teaching the kiddy readers a lesson - this time I suppose about bullying and not looking at a person's character underneath the surface. As for Tom - well, did they have token gays in SVU?

There was Neil, Jessica's best friend, who appeared late in the series (when the girls started their sophomore year).

Excellent recap! I always enjoyed reading about the business projects it sounded like so much fun. We never did anything cool like that in my grade school. Now that we know how Tom turns out, I may never be able to read this book again, (Tom liked FASHION MAGAZINES!) that's just...creepy!

Yep - he says something like, "my mum leaves them lying around the house and I read them." :-s! It's a wonder Jerry & Charlie don't cotton on there and then! Unless they read fashion mags as well...

I know this is a bit late in the day, but I just took about 17 Catholic high school boys (grades 8 - 11 if they lived in the US; this is Australia) to their rock-climbing lesson this afternoon. Always noticed that the more 'delicate' students in this single sex school sign up for this sport; suspicions confirmed today when we all had a lively discussion about the gossip/fashion they read about in the women's weekly magazines. Some were all 'I read my mum's when she leaves them around the house', but the younger ones especially were happy to admit they bought them with their own pocket money!

They all stared in wonder as their English teacher practically pissed herself with laughter throughout the conversation - can you blame me? - ZOMG surrounded by 17 Tom MacKays! And just what attracts them to rock-climbing anyway (the school doesn't offer tennis) - could it be the comfy harness?

Lol - you just made my day! I can't imagine many boys in this country (the UK) admitting to such things!
