I should start by pointing out that there is no Miss Unicorn pageant, so I don't know what the deal is with the title. Maybe "Who Will Be the Winner of the Sweet Valley Princess Beauty Pageant?" wouldn't fit on the cover.

Yes, the book is called "Miss Teen Sweet Valley" or some such drivel and it has been recapped. Definitely have to check it out.

And someone schemed (oh, neVAAIIIR) and Elizabeth had to go on instead, pretending to be Jessica for the swimsuit bit. In that book, it's Elizabeth who's totally opposed to beauty contests.

i remember this! for some reason the one image that sticks into my mind is ellen's flat shoes, and how everyone coos at how elegant she looks.

is there a recap on the book when the angels and the unicorns fight over mandy?

Isn't Peter the one who dates Johanna secretly in SVH while also dating Amy or someone like her? Johanna isn't good enough for him because he is some sort of science genius and she is a lowly waitress so he won't be seen with her in public. At the end both girls dump him so I guess his social skills haven't improved much with the ladies.
