SVU #18: Billie's Secret or "Music Kills Relationships"

First, the cover. This scene actually takes place in the book, sort of. You can’t tell, but Billie is wearing what appears to be an engagement ring on her left hand. Also, when it actually happened in-book, Steven was studying. Oh and I had outfits (yes, plural) VERY similar to the one Billie is wearing.

I so love Lila. So much. And Bruce/Lila is something I totally support in SVU 'verse. *grins* And Georgie Porrigey is going to down in flames. Does he not remember badass his daughter really is?

I loved this review!
Where did he think Elizabeth went, House of Racks where you get your new breasts in under an hour or else it’s free?

Glad you liked that part. It took me a while to come up with something that actually sounded like a viable place to go in SV. But then they have a store called "Things for Girls," so I probably didn't need to waste the brainpower.

I just reread the recap and realised that I forgot to mention the book's opening paragraphs where Jess accuses Liz of being the biggest busybody at SVU...and Tom of being the second-biggest.

Liz bitches about how much her feet hurt. Yes, Liz, that usually happens when you have a job that requires you to be on your feet.

Liz = Paris and Nicole, only not funny. She bitches pretty much every time she has to do grunt work at her various newspaper internships, too.

Also, I wish she'd said "legs". Then I could have responded the way one of my coworkers in my McShits days did when one of lazier girls went around complaining that her legs hurt: "Probably from spreading them."

It is then that Jessica discovers that they weren’t a couple of seasons out of date; they were a couple of years out of date.

You mean she didn't spot that the low viscosity rayon dresses with half loop stitching on the hem were in Vogue several years ago right away? She's slipping!
