So I've decided to live-blog the PawSox opener tonight. This would bring my live-blogging total to two Major League games, one Major League exhibition game featuring Minor Leaguers (including Jed Lowrie, Dusty Brown and Brandon Moss), two Arizona Fall League games and one Minor League game. It is clear what my priorities are. ( These are my previousRead more... )

Aww, thanks! I think that's what makes chibis so fun to draw - you can just exaggerate so much...

Apparently he is! And if Wikipedia says it, it must be true. (/sarcasm)

Slowly going insane: David Pauley! Good times!
Georgie Sparkles only joins in when it involves Canada or the Mall. I'm kinda bummed there's no AAA team in Canada now. George would take them to the mall and get them free Orange Julius' :D

ETA: OMG OH! ONE MORE THING I read this at work today because someone left behind the sports page of USA Today

No wonder Francona had lost track of the date until told Tuesday that it was April Fools' Day. Rookie Jacoby Ellsbury remembered, but only because he was plotting a prank on a teammate.

"But I don't even know what day it is, whether it's Friday or Monday. I have no clue," Ellsbury said. "I felt like once I acclimated to Japan, we came back over to the U.S."

YAY SNAPPING PAULEY! I got people in both of my classes to talk about Rick Rolling today. I'm so proud of myself. (In the second one, I actually blasted Never Gonna Give You Up on my iPod and sang along because one of the kids didn't know what Rick Rolling was.)

In that same class, we were talking about national stereotypes at one point and when we got to Canada all I could think of was George Kottaras going to the mall. Luckily our professor said something funny at about the same time, so my laughter wasn't entirely out of place.

Oddly enough, however, Pauley doesn't get to disturbed by Starship...actually he was the one who started it! He had Jacoby and Clay crash in his apartment one night when they were watching Mannequin and well, Pauley was the one who took the picture of them where they were practically snuggling. But of course, everything else disturbs the hell out of him though.

Oh my God, YES. Pauley is officially a part of the wedding plot. (And I don't blame him - Brandon Moss repeatedly singing Bananaphone would probably disturb anybody.

And I've been wondering what Jacoby was plotting and against whom - my money's on it somehow involving or being against Clay, but it could be anybody.

I just finished live-blogging 'em! Victory is sweet.

Yes, the theme music bit is a bit questionable. I know. But it WORKED.

(Justin had himself a nice evening, too!)

I know! I'm so proud of him. I love how many groundouts he gets. And how awesome he is.

Oh, and I was blabbering on about minor leaguers today and I mentioned Jed and my friend went, "Oh, he's the one who went to Stanford, right?" My jaw almost fell on the floor--but she was actually confusing him with Chris Carter, who she's totally in love with after seeing one picture of him (she's a total Pink Hat but really nice in all other respects).

It made me giggle. ^_^

I love that sinkerballer stuff. It saves all the stress of the ball ending up in the air all the time. The only blip was the wild pitch, but hey, I think this was his first time as a professional Opening Day starter, so he's allowed to be a little nervous.

Oh, that's funny! She inadvertently got that right! And at least she knows that Chris Carter (and Jed, for that matter) went to Stanford - the members of GirlSox Nation seem to conveniently overlook that fact quite often. (I even tried playing She Blinded Me With Science as a rally song for him today! It didn't work the one chance I got with it. Darn.)
