Counting down until 7:05!

So I've decided to live-blog the PawSox opener tonight. This would bring my live-blogging total to two Major League games, one Major League exhibition game featuring Minor Leaguers (including Jed Lowrie, Dusty Brown and Brandon Moss), two Arizona Fall League games and one Minor League game. It is clear what my priorities are. ( These are my previous attempts at live-blogging, along with one entry I tagged with 'live-blogging' which is actually a plug for
or_trail_live, the Oregon Trail live-blogging community I started as a joke which I need to update.)

I just listened to a ProJo preview of last year's PawSox at the time the season was opening - and interestingly enough, they suggested that Hansen might be a possible trade chip, amongst other things. It also talked about two of our old friends, Kason Gabbard and David Murphy. I won't lie - it was a bit surreal, considering that we lost Gabbard and Murphy to pick up our 2007 nightmare, Eric Gagne. (The Sox also gave up Engel Beltre in that trade.)

If you're curious, Bartolo Colon takes the mound at 7:05 tonight, and you can listen to the game by clicking on the 'Audio' link here. I'm very excited about this - I can't wait for the lineups to be released in a few hours! To tie myself over, I'm keeping up with Louisville and Syracuse, so I'm basically watching Homer Bailey and Jay Bruce to see how they do today. (Jay Bruce struck out swinging right before I typed this.)

I am also watching Russ Adams right now. Sorry, suitors, he's married. To Aaron Hill. But this is old news to most of you, I'm sure.

I'll stop now, before I get carried away; I need to save some of this for later tonight! But I'd like to share one thing before I go: an interesting recent edit to Gagne's Wikipedia page. I don't know how much longer this will stay up there, so I screencapped it for posterity.

Take that as you will.

EDIT: Syracuse won, 2-0. Homer Bailey looked good for Louisville - his only mistake was a solo shot, which he gave up to Adam Lind. Now watching Rochester take on Richmond.

Oh, and this happened late last night, and I just finished it a little while ago:

There is one non-Sox prospect in there, and that'd be a Mr. Trevor Crowe, an acquaintance of Jed and Jacoby's from high school. I've been mentioning him with alarming frequency recently...

But Gagne's pants are still funnier than this. Trust me.
