First things first. The Mets and Red Sox both won tonight, and it was really exciting - Wakefield got the win for the Sox, and he's now the all-time innings leader in Boston. Hmm...it's hard for a baseball injury to be completely career-ending, since my favorite pitcher (who is above making that whacked-out face) literally ripped his hammy in half and was pitching again by Spring Training, but there is this and this. Shattered bones'll do it if you throw a lot like the fellow in the first link, I'd imagine...
