I wish the Brewers (or at least the Timber Rattlers, which is far more likely) would do this--Randy Wolf is a big Star Wars fan, and I know there are active 501st chapters around.

I almost think things like this should be mandatory in MLB. Seriously. It'd be fun, and if Randy Wolf would get into it, even better!

If it's any consolation, last year for the PawSox there was no team involvement that I noticed. They had a nice setup outside with characters and the dewlap with the English saddle; a whole contingent went out to the mound for the first pitch and then a lot of the characters roamed the stands. (Are you Steve T. Ferret's Facebook friend? I think the only Star Wars photos I put up were the three of him.)

Awww, drat. And Lowell had those fancy uniforms, too! (I just friended Steve now! And I don't know why, but I hadn't become a fan of sitting still yet, so I did that and one of the 2009 ST photos of Jed broke my brain. ♥)

I'll have to start searching in between Civil War readings, in that case - it'll be a nice way to distract myself!
