Today was fun even at the cost of my back! Besides, I saw Wake!

I really didn't do too much sitting down today.

I was on cooking duty for most of the afternoon, and whilst I got to see Wake's knuckler in action (it looked fantastic today!) I was helping put together some cookies for my friend (I conveniently had the advice of this kid on how to do things), so I was running around the kitchen the whole time. ( Read more... )

Go Tree People! :D

I dunno what has gotten into JD Drew lately, but I like it. New shampoo perhaps? I also like what has gotten into Wakefield lately too. Good stuff to see. :) And while I'm not a big catcher person, I really like Kevin Cash for some reason...I think it's because he's not really built like a catcher. Oh and why the hell do they have the boring people do the lineup readings on Fox? Makes me sad.

Yeah that's all I got for now....wish I had more but that's it.

I am so, so excited. And I'm sure Jed and Chris are, too. (If Jed shows up to McCoy in the marching band uniform tomorrow I honestly would not be surprised.)

He's been hot, that's for sure! I approve too. And Wake pitching like it was a few years ago...he's been fantastic! I'm so glad he finally got some offense! Cash is definitely good at what he does, too. He may not have the best bat in the world, but he's reliable behind the plate - I love the prospects we have, but he'll definitely do for me for the time being. I trust him, I guess. (I wish FOX had grabbed Jed to do it when he was called up. He'd have been effing hilarious. And dorky.)

I was actually at the game in Baltimore where Coco hurt his finger - I remember it pretty well. I didn't realize that he slid hard into Iwamura because he thought it was Bartlett, though - that adds a whole new dimension to this thing! And the ganging up was actually pretty disturbing. I know that the tempers were running pretty high that day, but you'd think somebody would remember to be an adult...

If I hadn't been working with my friends, I would've had it on, too...we were in her kitchen, though, so I didn't really get to put it on. But I'll get more chances to see them this season, so it's okay!

That certainly was an unusual starting line-up with both Mikey and Dustin out, along with Jacoby and Big Papi. But this team has the depth to put out a line-up who can still win, despite the absense of those key players. Good stuff!

Wake was awesome, JD a joy to watch, (I was hoping the Sox would bat around in the 8th, so he would have a shot at hitting for the cycle) Manny was Manny with his blast, and the boys done good!

I am severely impressed by this team's depth - they're fantastic. And they've rebuilt the farm system, too, so if they get especially desperate all they need to do is phone Pawtucket (or Portland, in Masterson's case). It's wonderful.

I was so happy to finally see Wake get some run support! He's been pitching well lately, so to see the team step up and give him what he needed to win was really nice. ...and Manny's shot was an absolute BOMB. I never get tired of watching him put the ball in the parking lot...
