Shiny New Christmas Toy

So as an early 21st Birthday/Christmas/Hannukah present, I got a Canon Powershot SX20IS. I've always been attracted to Canon's and I really like the look of it as well as the feel. I've wanted a camera with some horsepower behind it for about 5 years now and also wanted to have a little bit more manual control (which it has, but I lack the training ( Read more... )

I love Canon's too, I don't know anything specific about specs of cameras (to be completely honest, I don't really care as long as the colour settings on the camera are superb and there's a good depth of field), but you're going to have so much fun with that. Show more of your life so I know what the hell's up with you

Heeheeheee, Nuzzle's your christmas tree topper, I love that!

If you want to go to the show still, let me know when. If you go during the middle of the week, I'll pay for it as your early/late birthday/christmas present :)

Sweet! I got put on full availability next week to accommodate for the 26th, but if there's still time to go in that lull week after I will absolutely.

I did a whole mess of screwing around with White Balance using the Scott Poster and Nuzzle. I have forgotten all that RTA has taught me I swear :S

Otherwise I'm deciding whether or not to take the camera on Boxing Day. My current feeling is no because of the busy nature of the day, but it's so sadly tempting.

CAMERAS THAT ARE NOT DISPOSABLE AND BOXING DAY DO NOT MIX. For the love of your camera, don't do it babeeeeee.

I forgot everything about working the camera in first year too :> Just set the white balance on automatic, lul. And keep it at ISO200 and you'll be set both indoors and outdoors. In lower lights, you can bump it up to 400.

iPhone camera it is.

See, the ISO is not set to 200 right now. Because while I can fstop set and adjust focus (especially now that I understand the way the camera does it, which is digital and not ah! worthy) the ISO is something I still have issue with and did then too.

Great camera, that zoom is crazy! I had an older model of this camera & loved it.
