I really like Larxene and Vexen's english voices- and Lex's is decent as well. Zexion is kinda cute. XD Wish Marluxia's had more oomph to it, and AXEL IS SO BAD!
Actually, Axel has two or three lines where he talks like KHII!Axel, the most notable being "...? I'm... enjoying this?! You guys really are something! >D " So after a bit of thought I realized that I liked it. I like it when Axel speaks like the intelligent, eloquent person he is rather than some idiot Roxas fanboi (Take that, fandom) and think about it... he's talking like he still thinks of himself as a Nobody, ie, emotionless. And then the few lines where his real self comes through (another is right after he kills Vexen, "I don't know myself..." to Sora) So I think he overdid it a little, but I definelty think he's trying to show that Axel has a huge, HUGE character transition from CoM to KHII

I'm sorry, I don't get that from Flynn's performance at all. He sounds bored the entire time, like he can't be bothered with this part anymore. That's not a vibe I get from Axel, that's a vibe I get from the actor, which is a huge no-no. On top of that, the voice doesn't even sound the same -- it sounds like Quinton Flynn talking, not like Axel talking. It's like he's completely forgotten how he did Axel's voice, which is a belief I've had for a while, since I saw him at several panels where he tried to "say lines like Axel" and they came out sounding more like a character from MGS than any Axel I knew.
His delivery and inflection are horrible. Most of the lines he's said in the game have had me facepalming, not from the sheer idiocy of the script, but from the painful acting Quinton suffuses this game with. Sorry. I don't see any development or thought going into a character transition here, I just see a bad actor doing a really shitty job with a character I love.
I'm gonna disagree with Crystina, but not over Quinton doing an ass job of it; I don't think he sounds bored. I think he sounds like he GOT bored and then decided to read all his lines like some kind of horrible supervillain and see if they'd notice. And they didn't notice.
I find his performance physically and mentally painful, and if I ever see him at a con again I'm going to have trouble not calling him out on how he's become a shitty professional as well as a shitty person.
omg Vexen fetish. <3 I pretty much fell for him when I watched his cutscenes from the Japanese re:CoM for the first time. I don't know shit about VAs but apparently everyone knows his and thinks I'm insane for loving that damn voice so much.
