Welcome to the Reapers' Game.
However it is, you've managed to end up in Shibuya. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that you've died here. And after death, someone approached you and offered you something: a second chance. But on one condition

Kefka has not felt this good for a long, long time. Which would be infuriating if he hadn't lost the ability to fury to the smarmy slimy sonova who dragged him out of the afterlife to play a game, but he had, so he's wandering the city with a haze of frustration in his head, a mnemonic in his mouth and a warm fuzzy feeling in his chest.
Look for 10 and 4. The map on his--"fone," was it?--said it was a building a few blocks south of him. All well and good. The others in the game should meet him there. And if any nasty Noise showed up, he'd make like a tree and get the heck out of there.
"Ten and four, pinafore~"
There's a clown walking down the street and singing nonsense. What do?

"You are part of the Reaper's Game."
Not quite monotone, but definitely not a question.

He turns, smiling brightly. Who is this--tall, muscular, radiating magic like lava generates heat (not that magic worked here, Kefka had checked) and with such flowing garm, like a spellcaster--Kefka likes him already.
"You are too, I bet. Have you figured out where we're going?"
He needs a partner. This guy looks ideal. But he wants a smart partner, thank you, and one he can trust. Let's see how he measures up.

"The riddle is simple, a card puzzle. Although they have the same values, the tens card is below the Jack card in terms of order. 'Three's superior', therefore, must be Four."
Pause. Processing. Reply.
"If I hadn't guessed, I would have known. You were singing the solution. You are intelligent, if weak-looking. Are you weak?"
The first Priority was to form a pact to use the pins, but that didn't mean he'd pick the first person if it was disadvantageous.

How cute, except her cold eyes don't even show a flicker of amusement. In fact, she's rather ready to scream or cry. Instead she bites it all back, shoving the phone back into her bag and fixes her uniform. Did they really have to awaken in the middle of a crosswalk?
Jack is the card after 9...10. 'Three's superior...'
The girl looked up, studying her surroundings. Ten-Four. So they just had to get there? What was this, some childsplay? Then again, they already said she'd need to partner up to survive.
Homura had no intention of losing, either.

"You... are a player of the Reaper Game."

And Kefka appears from behind Kuja, waving at Homura. Let's see if they could get a helper, right?

Regardless, she spared a nod and already began the assumptions. "No, I haven't."

The counter in his hand seems... new. But not surprising. Neither does the message on the phone he never remembered buying.
Why was he wearing such an awful coat? He looked like he was part of a cult or something. At least no one else seemed to notice that he looked so awful. He needed a change, to get home, but...
Where the Hell was he?
He checks his map, noting where he suspects he has to go, and thumbs his pin, heading out towards the correct direction.
"Guy below the Jack meets three's superior..." Ten and... four?
Was he supposed to meet someone there?

He pauses as he spots the guy looking confused, though, and turns back to face Marluxia, a questioning look on his face.
"...You look lost."
Reply
"Yes... Can you be so kind as to direct me to the 104 building? I believe I am to meet someone there."
He didn't like be uncertain about things, but really, why was he going there? Was it just because he had nothing better to do?

And then he shrugs. "Sure. Follow me." Ben turns without waiting, and walks off into the crowd, expecting Marluxia to follow.
He'd tell him about the pact when they got there. People were more likely to agree to something when they only found out about it at the last minute and there were no other choices to turn to.

Closing her phone after taking a picture of a street sign, she noticed someone who... didn't quite blend in with the others. Was he like Kefka-san and Kuja-san?
One way to find out. She closed her eyes, trying to read his thoughts... nothing. Huh.
"...Are you a Player?"

Yes, she is talking to you. Why else would the girl be looking at you with a cold look and more than likely raising an eyebrow at the mental 'huh wha-?'
Homura spared a nod regardless, showing the timer on her hand. "I'm certainly not a Reaper." She paused, looking at him. "Have you found anyone to forge a pact with?"
