"So, Glitch," DG asked, eyeing the brain tank as Glitch poked at wires. "This is your brain..." Glitch looked up from the control panel and looked from DG to the tank and back to the panel.
"Mmm hmm."
DG threw another glance to the brain and made a face. "I know you're... super smart, and all," she said, looking back to her friend and stepping away from the tank. "But there's no way your head is big enough," she continued, shaking her head as she pointed to the tank.
In the far corner, leaning against the wall, Wyatt Cain snorted.
IGOR
"You're sure this is your brain?" she asked, giving the thing another look. Glitch frowned and stepped over to DG's side.
"Who else would it belong to?" he asked, wondering if someone else was missing a brain. He was pretty sure it was his brain, but he also knew that his memory was a little scattered.
DG shook her head and puffed her cheeks slightly before shrugging. "Abby... someone?"
"Abby Someone?" Glitch asked, leaning back.
"Uh... Normal," she said quietly, waiting to be struck down by lightning.
"Abby Normal?" Glitch asked, his eyebrows raising as he turned to Cain. "Cain, you know an Abby Normal-someone?" DG's eyes shot to Cain, whose jaw was clenched shut. She could see his lip twitch ever-so-slightly and she had to look away to keep from smiling.
When she looked back to him, DG could see the fury in his icy-blue eyes and she stepped toward Glitch, putting a hand on his arm. "It's probably because of the glass and water-stuff," she assured him with a nod.
Glitch gave her a sincere smile and patted her hand, knowing she wasn't as scientifically-minded as he was.
After they left, Cain doubled over with laughter, tears included.
