Alexander looked up from the rather large stack of paperwork he was reviewing. "Oh, you. Have a seat, Mr. Sutherland."

He flipped a page over. Seeming to remember the other man preferred small talk with business he added, "How was Vegas?"

Darius cocked his eye at the question the man asked. His first impression of the man seemed that he was business-only. True enough, it pertained to business, but it was still a bit off-topic for the man. "As fine as it could be, given the circumstances," he told the man nonchalantly. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small novelty license plate with a name on it that one got from airports. This one was a Nevada plate.

"Got you a present," he said, giving the man the plate, with the name ALEXANDER on it.

Alexander let out an amused huff of air as he looked at the novelty souvenir, he had gotten one in the mail from his daughter recently for his birthday. At least the card said it was from her, but it was most likely his former sister-in-law being kind.

"You didn't have to," Alexander set the plate aside. "But considering how much you've earned in your latest venture, it didn't put you out too severely."

Darius smirked, but otherwise stayed silent. The considerably more perverted man automatically thought differently of the phrase "put out".

"I wanted to," he told the man with a bit of sincerity in his voice. "I saw it and thought this might maybe loosen you up a bit. Is work the only thing you focus on?" he asked.

"It is a reason for living," Alexander flipped through another page, as tedious as shifting through paperwork was, at times it was a literal lifesaver. Some mistakes could be deadly, especially with certain few of his clients.

"It is different for everyone. Some work to live, others life is their work. I'm the latter. Makes me better than the competition at least."

He leaned back in his chair. "Linderman has already confirmed that you've successful returned what belonged to him, now the only matter is how would you like to be paid. Same as before?"
