She opened the door, holding it in place with her foot and taking the tranq gun from Candice. "Of course, all I really got was blah blah let's shoot somebody."
A grin.
"Which is totally fine by me."

"Great," she rolled her eyes, making no move to get out of the car. "Then I'll leave you to it. First floor, third door on the right." It paid to have an informer working at the reception.

"Son of a bitch," she hissed, tossing the tranq gun to the floor.
The bastard had phased through her first shot, become solid just soon enough to rip the gun from her hands and bash her in the mouth with it. None of which had saved him from her shockwaves. The fuck had been stupid enough to assume the gun was her only line of defense. He'd pay for it soon enough.
Flicking open the cell phone they'd given her, she called Candice.
