The Odessa Mall. Joy of joys.
He sighed, glancing over at Zach. "I want a pretzel."

"I had completely forgot about Christmas," Zach said, wide-eyed, staring at a towering pine tree and thinking that he would have preferred not to remember.

Which he didn't, Alvers.
He shrugged. "I mean, I guess if you're into the whole thing..."
He took a bit of his pretzel, more to shut himself up than anything else. Wait. He had a boyfriend. It was Christmas.
Did that mean he had to do the whole gift thing now?

Why couldn't Christmas be the same? They didn't have to get a stupid tree and buy stupid presents. They could start fresh; be just them.
"You know, you told me once you didn't do boyfriends, either." He grinned as a man stared at him oddly as he walked by.
Whatever, Odessa.
He snagged a section of Lance's pretzel, and made a face. Because after all was said and done? Beginnings and endings and whatevers aside?
He would always be devastatingly twelve.

"Honestly? Going to be starving in a ditch somewhere if you keep stealing my food. And coffee."
Walking away from the pretzel stand, he temporarily ignored the boyfriend comment, as Zach's logic had a way of getting him twisted up in it, and ultimately making him forget his rules. Of which there were plenty. So yeah, they would be bending on the relationship rule because, well, Zach was special. But holidays were a no go.
Take that, Teller logic.
"Yeah, well. Boyfriends are one thing. Holidays are an entirely different brand."
