"So... the other day, was that Ivy?" Casey asked, curious, and definitely willing to get the heck out of Dodge, "And why are you doing this to get to her? She's only just come to New York. We met in the park, hung out a few times. What do you want?"

"I want to know everything you know about her." Candice beamed, reaching for a file that had previously not been there and plucking out a few photographs. As well as she could remember, they depicted some of Ivy's gruesome crime scenes. "Because this is some of what I know. And it's not very pretty."

"I already said... we met in the park and were planning on coffee-"

The file hit the bedside with a smack and his eyes immediately hated him for making them glance in the direction of the new material. Sensations flowed across him, and he instinctively looked over at the toilet in the corner, sickened by the images before him. He had seen some dead people, especially because of the gang violence on the Lower East, but that was just brutal.

"She... she couldn't have done that. The only thing that's similar is that it's got religion in both that and her life," Casey finally choked out, "You're barking up the wrong tree."

Candice smiled. "We know she did it. She confessed." Sorry. She imagined this was how Jimmy would react if he ever found out what her 'internship' entailed.

"You only met her once, then?" She flipped the file closed, assuming he wouldn't notice if she made it disappear. "What did you talk about? Religion? Family?" Crucifixion?

Casey shook his head, lodging away Candice's response deep within the recesses of his mind, refusing to acknowledge its existence, "You can bend reality to what you want, or at least make me feel that it is doing it. Say what you want, that's not true," he grumbled.

He then turned to address Candice directly about Ivy, "No, I mean, we had hung out a handful of times during her time here so far. We talked... well, freely and openly about everything that crossed our minds. Dealing with people, religion, watched the clouds and played in the imagination. She was sweet, kind. So the other day I kind of asked her out. This was supposed to be our first date."
