Tad reached over, taking the seatbelt off her and clicking it into place, straighting and starting the car.

"What's your favorite constellation?" he asked, looking over his shoulder as he backed out, trying to keep her talking so she wouldn't fall asleep. He'd passed Health. He knew how dangerous that was.

"That's such a nerdy thing to ask," she grinned, eyes still comfortably closed. "You think I know about constellallations?"

Why did he have to talk or exist at all? She could've been with Jimmy now. Or, bar that, cause he had a 'girlfriend', with Brody. But now. She was with this loser.

He rolled his eyes, pulling out onto the main road.

"I'm sorry. Should I ask you about pro-wrestlers then? NASCAR drivers?" The words were a bit sarcastic, but he couldn't help himself.

"Think I know about those?" she asked again, voice heavy with the remnants of what she'd drunk and the sluggishness of sleep.
