Joey groaned at the sound shifting and freezing for a moment before he realized he was still somewhat curled up with Lance. Joey blinked, glancing over at sleeping man briefly before untangling himself and tugging on some briefs. The buzzer snapped through again and he grumbled at it, wincing at the clock reading 6:02AM as he dragged himself over to the intercom.

"Hello?"

It couldn't be Zach. No way. And Eden was still in Texas, too, right?

"Merry Christmas, Grasshopper," said Eden cheerfully. "It's fucking freezing out here, mind letting me in?"

Oh shit. On the one hand, he was happy that Eden was back in New York. He'd missed her.

On the other hand... Joey glanced over to his bedroom and swallowed. She'd been less than thrilled about Lance's involvement in the bombing--and he hadn't even told her everything. He did not want to play referee.

Which meant he had to find someway to get them to avoid talking about the thing. Fuck.

"Uh. I'll let you in but gimme a minute before I open my door, okay? Kinda...just woke up."

He ran a hand through his short hair, letting out a soft curse once he was no longer able to be heard over the intercom. Then buzzed her in.

And then dashed into the bedroom. "Lance?"

"What?" Lance mumbled after a moment, eyes still closed.

There was a thread of panic in Joey's voice that he really didn't want to address. He just wanted to go back to sleep, but something told him that wasn't going to happen.

Joey dug through his drawers.

"Um. Remember when I told you about my other Yoda?"

He tugged on a shirt. "The one with the voice-thing? She..erm, came to visit. She's here. Now. Probably waiting outside my door now."

He yanked up his jeans, shooting Lance an apologetic look.

"I really wasn't planning on spending the morning this way, I'm sorry if it's..um. Weird. You can...sleep, I guess but I just thought I'd let you know that someone else is here so you don't...walk out in your briefs or something."
