Well, yeah. Every story is a sad story if you follow it through to the end.

This is sad and in character and basically it's exactly why I like your work. What's more, I've always found it difficult to capture the voices of old men, and you've done it really well. Brava!

Now I'm going to go rec this to everyone I can think of. *disappears into the internet*

Oh my god, I was so worried about getting the voices right! I had no idea how to express age in dialogue without everyone coming out sounding like dictionaries. ::sighs::

Hey! Get out of that internet, you don't know where it's been!

This is devastating, and mostly owing to its exquisite restraint. Could hear all their voices as if I'd put the show on. Great fic.

Thanks! I was actually a little worried that I'd been too indirect and nobody was going to make the connection between Sherlock and the gun.

I like this. Pretty real context, and real sentiments. I think Sherlock's disease its one of the most devastating conditions he could get, both for him and John. Although for a moment i though you were going to kill Watson before the other two. *This is going to fave memories of course...*

I think it's obvious that Sherlock cares more about his mind than his body or even his life--a disease like Alzheimer's would of course be his worst nightmare.
