what you're describing is not weighted voting, however this line: 'List in order of preference' suggests that the voting would indeed be weighted (each of the first mentioned sets gets 5p, second one on everyones list gets 4p etc and then all the points each set got are summed and the one with most points wins) now, if it's just like icon votings, the order in which the sets are listed in everyone's votes shouldn't matter, each of the 5 sets a voter listed gets 1 point only, so that the one that was mentioned most often (in any place in the lists) wins.
