Photography (and in fact, the other three shots here) is in the ruins of Pompeii in Italy. The chap with the camera is my husband :)

Awesome! I missed that entry for some time. So you finally found an "ancient" among all the Pompeii pictures :) I love Cereal and Passion although the pictures does not look so very passionate to a modern person like me.

So you finally found an "ancient" among all the Pompeii pictures :)

It was hard to choose! But I liked that one as a picture, and also because the gate is so old that the floor level is different now than it was when it was built, which is why it looks so oddly proportioned.

Passion although the pictures does not look so very passionate to a modern person like me.

I wasn't completely sure about that one, but it seemed to me that Venus, being Goddess of Love. might be miffed if I didn't pick her to represent passion - and we know what those Roman gods get up to when they're miffed :) Besides, if I'd done a picture of my passions, it would have been a pile of books, chocolate and cheese ;)
