NEdit

At work, I was introduced to a nice editor for UNIX -- NEdit. It's most interesting feature, is that it works in client-server mode: you run the client program from terminal, and it just tells the server to open the specified file, and immediataly exits. That way your terminal stays free, and doesn't get cluttered with multiple background ( Read more... )

Well, mine is better in the sense that I wrote it myself, I know how it works, I can change it however I want and I own it. To be quite honest, there aren't a lot of things which you really can't find on the Interwebz, and the ones you find on the internets may be even better than the ones you made yourself, but it's just that how can I call myself a programmer if I can't write myself some software, you know? =)
