BABY, I'D FOLLOW YOU INTO ANY FANDOM, JUST FOR YOUR AWESOME COMMENTS! They remind me of why it's so fucking great to write fanfic! I'm really sorry that this is so late, by the way. Travelling Australia really doesn't leave much time for writing, but that's still no excuse for delivering a fic I'd promised you about two months late. BUT: There's one good thing about this. Instead of writing you a measle little one-shot, you're gonna get a full-on 7000+ words story! I hope that that can make up a little for the delay. :)

I've heard that England's been getting a fair amount of snow (that message made it into my local Australian newspaper -- WTF?). You must have been there already for the students' protest when they stormed the Tory's headquarters, right? Did you see anything of that at all?

No, seriously, thank you so much! :) This fic is a bit on the dark side, but then, 3.12 was a bit on the dark side too, wasn't it? I love it when they show deeper, "darker" themes in the show. Those themes are really underlying all three seasons, but because it's a kid's show, they usually don't get explored very well.

I'm just about to post the next part -- I hope that you'll like it as much! :)

Yeah I agree, sometimes I hate that Merlin is a show for kids, they could explore so many emotional aspects, that's why I usually turn to fiction becaus fic writers are not restrained and really go into things that are left unexplored in the episodes

I agree wholeheartedly! My only hope is that, as Merlin watchers grow up, so will the show itself, but I'm altogether not too optimistic. :/ That's what fanfic is there for, though! You have any recommendations? Some of your favourite fics, maybe?

No, thank you! There's nothing as great as brilliant feedback such as yours for an author! I'm glad you think that the emotions are well done - it's always a tightrope walk between going over the top on the one hand or staying too distant on the other. I was worried to have done both here.
