Met a brand new resident.
He was 23 years old.

Can I just say how lucky I am sometimes? The things I get to witness astound me. Last night was without a doubt one of my all time favorite nights at the AIDS Hospice. Dudes, weekend was so crazy I’m not even sure I’m caffeinated enough to write about it. Thank god we’re off to Texas tomorrow and I can relax on the plane with all my Netflix movies I’ve been saving up for my eventual downtime.

Except that tonight is my night at the AIDS Hospice. And I was just diagnosed with a fever and an infection. Which means that if I went, I could feasibly KILL someone. Or multiple someones.
This sucks.

So last night I went to what I thought was going to be a Salt & Pepa concert/fundraiser for Lifebeat, this AIDS organization I volunteer for. Tonight I am volunteering with Lifebeat at the Kaiser Chiefs show at Roseland. SO EXCITED. The only thing that sucks is there are 3 opening acts, so I might have a long stand before the chiefs are on. And my knee hates the standing. Ah well ( Read more... )
