Back home

My journey home, by and large, went pretty well. Would I travel the way I did again? Probably not, or if so, only infrequently. Would I change anything I did? Absolutely not! Besides, I can now say I've been to 42 out of the 50 states (41 of which I remember; I hope to rectify this by the end of the summer).

So I'm here and trying to get my affairs in order--this week is fairly nuts. I have to get my stuff squared away for my summer plans in basically the next three days--and over a freakin' holiday weekend, to boot! I may end up doing a really cool hike (that I've done once before) with my mom this weekend, and my girlfriend is coming up to visit next weekend. So yeah...

My room's still a bit of a mess (and I haven't even started unpacking the boxes I shipped home, really), and my stepdad's kind of being an asshole to everyone today, so I'm kinda stuck not doing much for the time being. I got my new phone, but it apparently needs to charge for the next 12 hours.

I had to get a physical done for my summer plans, and on the whole I seem healthy enough. At a normal BMI, like always, though if I pick up 10 lbs or so I might start straying into "overweight" status--don't want that! After all, who ever heard of a chubby coyote...my eyesight is apparently borderline crappy now, 20/30 in one eye and 20/40 in the other, which may mean I'll need glasses in a few years.

A lot of people died. I guess they were just too hot/bizarre/commercial to live...for the most part, I really couldn't care less.

Apparently Sarah Palin is resigning as governor very soon. Does she have more...ambitious plans? Ruh roh...
