Add all the numbers together, and then divide by 10 (the total number of answers). So, all those scores added together make a total score of 87. 87 divided by 10 is 8.7, which is the average.

Incidentally I'm really proud that I knew the answer to a math question. I don't think that's ever happened to me before.....
