Free Comic Book Day 2010 (Iron Man: Supernova) - Paul Tobin + Craig Rousseau. I was glad to see Marvel again giving one of their lesser known writers a shot at the limelight. Avengers vs. Atlas #1 of 4 - Jeff Parker + Gabriel Hardman/Takeshi Miyazawa. It's written by Jeff Parker and co-starring the Agents of Atlas. It's pretty much a given that it's an excellent read. Parker's writing of the New Avengers is smoothly spot on, displaying as great a skill with the top tier, mainstream heroes as he has with the Atlas ( Read more... )

Black Widow & The Marvel Girls #1 of 4 - Paul Tobin + Salva Espin. Detailing the Enchantress's part in Black Widow's origin, the issue is much better than that ludicrous statement would seem to indicate. The issue also shows how Natasha can outsmart the most paranoid of adversaries and out-plan her superiors.

Avengers: The Initiative #29 - Christos N Gage + Jorge Molina. Constrictor gets some character time, subplots with the New Warriors/Avengers Resistance continue, and the newest Big Bad makes his play. When the plot is moving I start to lose interest, it's only the moments of characterization that keep me here.
