That last post was private at first, then public. I'm not sure why in either case. Both feel a little odd to me.

When it's clear, the freeway is a fast and pleasant way to get around. How odd.

I've been trying to eat less sugar lately. Damn tough. It's incredibly addictive, and it's everywhere.

Today I gave blood for the first time in about 5 years. They fed me cookies and juice. Two more pints and I'll be up to 3 gallons donated.

It's still damn hard to get to bed at a reasonable hour, but it's so necessary for my quality of life. Keeping that in mind gets harder as I get more tired each night. So I end up getting up late, driving to work, getting annoyed at having to park. Public transportation would cause me to adhere to a schedule. That would be a good thing.

wasta is stopping by work tomorrow morning. Woo! They're going to study him, and pay him for it.

Had two lovely, relaxed snuggly baths with Saucy recently. Need to do more of that. Things are going well. Both of us being less stressed about work & money is a good thing (tm).

Been listening to a lot of Lyle Lovett and Woody Guthrie lately. Not intentionally, but those are the CDs that got ripped at work and are in my car. Good stuff all around. Lemme know if you want a selection.

At work everyone (including me) uses (x)emacs, largely due to the fact that there are some custom plugins written for it to lubricate the abrasive legacy macro system. For fun the other night I downloaded the latest version of
BBEdit (Official motto: It doesn't suck.). It made me jones hard for when I developed with a Mac on my desk. BBEdit is sooo sweet and smooth. They just got everything right. Emacs is good too, but still foreign. It is nice to know that (nearly) no matter what feature I want, it's in there somewhere. Still missing is proper drag & drop support, and BBEdit-style file comparisons, and the grace that comes with being a premier quality Mac application. Nothing else can touch that, but it'll do. After all, hundreds of unshowered long-haired unix geeks can't (?) be wrong.

Anyone need any Amazon bookmarks? There's an abandoned box in the next cube with a cubic foot or so of 'em...
