So I haven't updated in way too long. Bad Zipi. I must try to be better.
Admittedly, it's really freaking hard to update when I have nothing to talk about because I currently don't do anything but stay home applying for jobs. I'm supremely boring right now. I don't even get the chance to go out and walk around anymore because about 80% of the time I'm not feeling well. Ah well. I'm sure I'll figure it out.
I do want to show you all my snake though.
This is Jacobo when I first got him. He's checking out the camera.
He was a tiny little dude.
Now however, he has grown quite a bit. He's still a cute little baby though.
This is his favorite place to hang out. He says it's nice and warm in there. Ignore my weird face :P
So the story with Jacobo is that my friend Alicia (who lives three hours away) bought him without asking her landlord, whom she lives with, if it would be OK. It was not OK. Not at all. In fact it was against the HOA agreement to have any type of python in their condo.
So about two days after she bought Jacobo, I get a call wherein she begged me to take him in until further notice. So he's not technically my snake, but he essentially is since I'm not sure I believe she'll ever be able to take him back.
Man oh man, though. After having this snake I have to say: I have no idea how these things survive in the wild! They are so susceptible to stress I would think they'd all die before they reached sexual maturity. If his light's not turned on and off on an exact 12 hour cycle, he goes off feed. If I handle him within three days of feeding, he goes off feed. If humidity and temperature are not exactly right, he goes off feed. If I don't heat the mouse up hotter than any live mouse would actually be (using a hairdryer, of all things), he goes off feed.
Silly snakes.
Aside from that, I have learned that I am one lousy house"wife." It's taken me two months, almost three, to finish unpacking. I finally did that yesterday and we've been here since July. I avoid the laundry as much as I can until I have literally nothing left to wear. And while things aren't filthy here, I should really clean the sinks and vacuum more often than I do. I've also had the vacuum out for about two weeks because I decided it's a pain in the butt to shove back in our closet :P Ah well. Cleaner here than it was at the other place!
I should probably get back to job applications. I will hopefully be on more often, even if it means just discussing
Cakewrecks or something :P
P.S. Cover Letters suck.
