Back in Portland, getting things together with my girl. She is working on her own line of plushies, hoping to build up a business starting with Etsy and eventually progressing to her own site. While she made a new prototype today, I did some research on pricing, marketing, etc., which I actually enjoyed. I am pleased to be able to support her as she gets her dream off the ground. And what she's making is terribly cute! Once they're officially for sale I will definitely post a link. Those of you who are my Facebook friends may have seen a sneak peek...
I also did half of the Flower Diagram exercise in What Color Is Your Parachute?. I didn't feel wildly inspired while I was doing it, but maybe in the end something will jump out at me, or at least I'll be better at talking about my skills. Oh yeah, and I emailed a Carleton alum who is a journalist for the Oregonian and asked if she would answer some of my questions about the field. That in specific has never been one of my dreams, but who knows? I just like writing, no matter what it is. I'm not the kind of person who'll be bitter if I'm not writing the Great American Novel. I could produce technical manuals or restaurant reviews and be happy as long as people gained some sort of knowledge and understanding from my work.
buzzy,
good work
