rambling updates...
1. Wicked was awesome. saw it on girls' weekend with my mom and sis. the music is fantastic and the two leads' voices were powerful and just all-out fabulous. if you enjoy musicals and ever get a chance to see it, you should definitely go.
2. car drama sucks. I had to get my windshield replaced 'cause of a crack in it so I went on Friday to get it checked out. I couldn't waste time waiting on it getting ordered and delivered before being installed so I made and appt to come back Sat to get it installed. on Sat I drop it off and go shopping w/ mom and sis while it's being installed, no prob right? wrong. I get a call about 20 mins later - the co. sent the wrong windshield. they have to reorder the right one and it won't get in until Mon. so I switch my day off to take care of it Mon. I show up for my appt Mon and do they have it? nope. the glass co had screwed them again and not even sent it. *headdesk* so the guy gets on the phone and has a very polite but very pissed off discussion w/ them to get what he needs for my car, then apologizes profusely to me and arranges for his mobile guy to come out to my work Tues to install. which it finally does. oy. normally I like drama. but car drama sucks. and glue fumes suck too.
3. who all here is going to ComicCon this year? I'm not going to the con but may be going to visit my brother out there around that time. idk, not sure if I can afford the flight atm, but am considering it.
4. Dragon*Con is going to be so much fun. I'm going to be splitting my time I think mostly between Stargate Multiverse Track and Skeptrack this year, with a couple other panels on the side perhaps. I'll have to see what there is. So far on the SGMT side I'm a panelist with the SG Interactive and the SG Universe panels, and I'm helping with games night, and I don't remember what else I volunteered for (tech and megapanels I think? and top 15 panels if they needed anyone else? idk). Beyond that I know I'll be at most if not all the megapanels. Skeptrack I know I'd like to catch the Skeptic's Guide podcast and since I'm not sure what else they'll have there, I'll have to wait and see. I think I'll probably try and fit in a Trek panel (Spock!). But even if I can't fit in every panel I'd like to fit in ('cause I never do) I figure at the very least I'll go with my list of wanted autographs, which is thankfully smaller every year, and get those. So far it's just 3. Maybe 5. is it sad that I'm already planning? ;P

I thought I had something else to say and it went straight out of my head so I'll just say have a super holiday weekend to those of you who have one coming up, and to those who don't, have a super weekend! ;) (and yes I realize I'm a bit early for that but I doubt I'll be posting again before then...)
