(no subject)
so some updates from the last few weeks...
- off the caffeine (again). the withdrawal migraines have died down for the moment, thank anubis. *snicker*
- went to see the fam 'cause my mom's fam was visiting them. decent visit. grandma's Alzheimer's made it less than fun at times but that's how it goes. we still enjoyed a visit to the new Gettysburg visitor's center (never did make it out to the battlefields this time up), which is beautiful and a great step up from the old one. we also had a fun at-home, good ol' fashioned Maryland crab pickin' on Saturday night (light on the Old Bay, but then we're from the Midwest =P). so it was decent overall. :) I don't get to see them often enough.
- saw The Taking of Pelham 123 through my migraine haze (one of my low level hazes at least lol) when it came out. I enjoyed it. not brilliant, but I enjoyed it.
- am really enjoying SYTYCD this year so far. way too addictive but so much fun to watch. =P
- I keep adding more and more to my "wanted" booklist. *sigh* I should cancel my cable. except. tennis. live. or at least, live on the weekends and waiting for me when I get home from work. *snicker* but then at least I'd be forcing myself to actually sit and read my books instead of letting my brain rot on random tv crap I don't need to be watching... esp. since at this rate I won't get through my booklist and ever allow myself to buy something new. *pouts* I think I need to sell some of my old ones...
- my D*C autograph and pic list keeps getting longer, and now I have to decide which ones are priority for me. obvious ones are Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart, Joe Flanigan, and probably John Noble for both. probable autographs include Ben Browder, Michael Shanks, Claudia Black (since I skipped them both last time lol), Gary Jones, Michael Trucco... huh, looking back, I actually like most of Trek's guests. may have to see if I can't sneak over there at all. too bad there aren't 3 of me...
