You know, for someone who supposedly loves to write femslash, I write an awful lot of gen and het. Like so.

I adore those writing-epiphany moments where you're struggling with this epically difficult scene and it's like a lightbulb goes off.

I've been going about it all wrong. It can't be like what I imagined, because it's not nearly the same stakes or tone! What worked before doesn't have to now - that's why it felt so flat!
