Mommy! Daddy! Snufkin! Why am I such crap at scheduling?!
There's a project I got in late February. The deadline for the translation was set at April 1st, and I was like "dude, I don't need that long, give me like 2 weeks max"... And here I am, sporadically working on it today when the deadline's next Tuesday...
One-shots are so grueling to work on. I much rather work on a series. With a series the translation almost writes itself, whereas with this particular one-shot the reason doing it's already taken this long is that I got stuck on one simple line that I just couldn't get right. And it's full of those kinds of lines that I get stuck on.
Around the after holidays sales in January, my sister, Maikeru and I went to Brothers. Their discounts aren't as impressive as Dressmanns, and I find shopping there a bit awkward. But they have really nice shirts. Anyway, I got a shirt and signed up for their email newsletter so that I'd get notified about sales and campaigns.
About a week ago I got mail. From Sisters, the sister chain of Brothers that sells womens apparel...
I went to Brothers to complain on Thursday before the book club meeting, and they promised to check whether I've been put only on the Sisters mailing list and not on both the Sisters and Brothers ones.
This is the first Sisters in Finland, I think. At least I've never seen them if there're others beside this. But I don't notice womens clothing stores much anyway. I'd never even looked at their clothes before they sent me their Spring catalog...
Rance, staring at Oda Nobunaga wistfully. What can be going through his mind, I wonder...
I read that once Rance turns into a girl, the scene of Nobunaga ravishing him is actually a dream he has. Which I find even more interesting. There's apparently also a scene where Rance bathes with the four Shimazu brothers and checks out Iehisas equipment.
The pink-haired girl is Sill, a sorceress and Rances long-suffering companion and slave. She's been in all of the games in the series, but is much cuter in this one than the others. The blue-haired chick's Suzume, Japans number one female ninja. I like her. The little girl sitting beside Nobunaga is Kou-hime, his little sister. One Japanese commentator wrote that although one should know what to expect when Alice-Soft is put together with Sengoku-era, a certain Kou-hime scene was pushing it a bit. I've only seen footage where Rance is very civil toward her, particularly of a scene where Rance shampoos her hair in the bath. Another pretty cute one shows them drinking tea and watching the moon on the veranda. So what's this scene that's awful enough to make even a jaded ero-game veteran blanche? I probably don't even want to know...
Ah well, if I can't write about anything else, maybe I should write nothing at all...
