Ye gods. Two exams down, two to go. Just a weekend and about five hours between me and two months of glorious freedom. I don't think I've ever been this glad to see the end of a school year. Even if I did make some really good friends this year, and lots of good things happened, there was still enough crap to make me glad for summer.
It doesn't feel like we're this close to summer vacation, though. It feels like...well...a Thursday or something. It's weird.
I think I'm gonna stay at K-Mart for the summer, then quit when school starts. What with NHS and being Scholar's Bowl captain (not to mention all my AP classes), I'm just not gonna have the time. I'll miss the money and my friends there - I only know most of them through work.
I've got the whole weekend off! I'm gonna sleep in tomorrow, then study, so I can go to
walk1ikeazombie's graduation on Sunday. I think some of the people she's graduating with are some of the people I haven't seen since 5th/6th grade, so I'm planning my clothes very carefully. I may even wear makeup.
I got her some spiffy prezzies at work earlier. I think she'll like them. :D
One last thing...
3:30pm: It occurs to
zelly_21 that a nap before work is a right smart idea, since she is very, very tired from exams and cooking and no sleep. She asks her stepmother to wake her up in time to get ready for work.
3:50pm:
zelly_21 finally makes it to the guestroom and lies down. She had to load the dishwasher.
4:00pm: Zzzzz.
4:15pm: A weird buzzing near her head alerts
zelly_21 to the fact that someone is calling her. Confused (because everyone knows she hates talking on the phone and simply texts her), she looks and it is her very long-winded friend. Normally
zelly_21 would answer, but she has only five minutes of her nap left before her shift, so she sends the call to voicemail.
4:16pm: The phone rings again.
zelly_21 sends it to voicemail again.
4:16pm: It rings for a third time (yes, it is still 3:16).
zelly_21 admits defeat and answers, but the signal is bad. She growls at her friend, hangs up, and gets ready for work.
And now, I'm off for a gloriously long lie-in!
