ZeldaQueen: Might I take this moment to say that I hate these point of view changes? All it does is remind us that yes, everyone is only thinking of the Sue

Chapter 17: Davy Jones
Davy Jones’s Point of View
ZeldaQueen: Let me guess, all he does is muse on the Sue, without giving Will a second thought
I sat before the organ in the Captain’s Stateroom, engrossed in my thoughts and the melody - painful and haunting.
ZeldaQueen: It was the Ballad of Gethesemane, a tale of woe and canon-raping Sues
Katherine Marina Sparrow...
ZeldaQueen: Who called it?
I could barely look at her. She bore a painful resemblance to Sirena, and it hurt too much to even glance at her.
ZeldaQueen: Yeah, who actually thought that there was a chance that Kate would be treated like an actual prisoner by Jones, like Will was?
She had come to save Jack Sparrow from his debt, yet only ended up putting her life in danger.
ZeldaQueen: And of course she won't just shut up about her stupid "sacrifice", just like Holly wouldn't shut up about how she was the "Girl Who Lived". Sues get a title and suck it to death
She wasn’t daft;
ZeldaQueen: Oh, I beg to differ
she knew the risks.
ZeldaQueen: Um, I seriously doubt that, seeing as she clearly had no back-up plan or weapons to defend herself
Yet how courageous could one woman be to come to me to demand that I take her soul in another’s place…especially a man’s?
ZeldaQueen: First of all, Elizabeth fought Jones in combat to save her husband. Yes, I know At World's End hadn't come out at this point, but I still refuse to buy the "isn't she so selfless and brave" routine any more than I would for Bella Swan.
Second of all, shut up with the pseudo-feminism. Oh yes, clearly Kate's the only one brave enough to compare to a man! Elizabeth Swann? Who's that?
I finally stopped playing,
ZeldaQueen: - the stock market
and heard the door to the captain’s stateroom open and shut.
ZeldaQueen: Apparently it's one of those automatic doors, like the ones at supermarkets. One of the fish sailors walked in front of it and triggered the "open" mechanism
I turned, ready to tell the visitor to get out, but I stopped upon seeing that it was Katherine.
ZeldaQueen: Why can't he still tell her to get out?
No, seriously? Didn't he just shout at her that she had to pull her weight? She's clearly not working right now. Why isn't he having her whipped?
Glaring, I demanded, “What are you doing here?”
ZeldaQueen: She's come to tongue him. No, really
“I came to see where the music was coming from,” she answered calmly. “I didn’t know you played.”
ZeldaQueen: Yep, Jones is a player
“Why would you care?”
“I don’t.”
ZeldaQueen: THEN WHY DID YOU COME IN HERE?
She stepped forward and into the candlelight, and I had to look away. Her beauty was too painful to bear.
ZeldaQueen: This is so cliched and stupid that it's making my eyes cross
“You can’t even look at me,” she said softly.
I still didn’t look at her, though I felt her place her hand on my cheek. It was then that I turned to glance at her.
ZeldaQueen: Dude, whip her! Seriously! She is out of line here!
“I’m not Sirena,” she whispered, her lips inches from mine.
She then straightened, turned, and exited the room, leaving me to stare after her.
ZeldaQueen: Okay, okay, please someone, explain why she did that. I know it was supposed to be foreshadowing that she will fall in tentacly love with Jones, but she's not in love with him now! Does Gethesemane think that all female pirates flirted sexily with their captors? If she hates Jones so much, why is she even entertaining the notion that he thinks that she and Sirena are the same? I...I don't even!
I’m not Sirena.
How did she know of her? Sirena had been murdered over a century before. Perhaps one of the crew told her…Bootstrap. She knew Bootstrap Bill.
ZeldaQueen: And how would Bootstrap know what Sirena looked like? He wasn't there a century ago! For God's sake, how long ago does Gethesmane think the mutiny happened?
And, judging from what I had heard in the brig, she was still angry with him for his part he played in the mutiny against her husband. Whether she and Jack were married at that time, I knew not, though I had heard rumors that Jack and Katherine had gotten engaged.
ZeldaQueen: What was the point of that paragraph? No really, what was it? What does her anger towards Bill matter at all? It doesn't factor in on the topic of Sirena. Her marriage to Jack doesn't matter either, nor does the amount of time they were engaged. This is nothing more than a way for Gethesemane to continue to wank over how she her Sue is Depp Sparrow's True Love of All Time. And I'm not even joking on this one. Just wait a minute...
When I arrived up on deck, the crew was involved in a game of dice. Save for Kate, who stood at the railing, watching the fog-blanketed sea. I walked over to her, and came to stand behind her.
“How did you know of Sirena?” I asked.
ZeldaQueen: (Jones) "And why do I even care?"
“Bootstrap told me that I look just like her,” she replied, her eyes still straight ahead. “I’m not her.”
ZeldaQueen: (Sue) "I just conveniently look like her, due to a cliched plot element which the Suethor used to allow me to bang you and Sparrow and still keep up a facade of modestly! Whee!"
She turned to face me, and I found myself staring at her. Wordlessly, I leaned forward, and pressed my lips against hers.
ZeldaQueen: Okay, ew. I know to each their own and all but...ew
She seemed shocked, but didn't pull away immediately. When she did pull away, she didn’t bring her hand up to slap me, nor did she shout at me. Instead, she left the railing, and walked calmly down the stairs to watch the dice game.
ZeldaQueen: JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, isn't she supposed to be some tough pirate chick? Why is she always acting like a delicate flower? Or is Gethesemane ripping off the bit where Jack flirts with Elizabeth?
I cursed inwardly as I made my way back to the stateroom. Why the hell did I even go to see her? Why the hell did I even care?
ZeldaQueen: (Jones) "It was almost as if I was...out of character!"
A thought crossed my mind.
ZeldaQueen: That's a rare occurance in this fic
Jack Sparrow had weaknesses: the sea, his ship, rum…but Kate above all others.
ZeldaQueen: BITCH YOU MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT, YOU DID NOT MAKE SPARROW RANK YOUR SUE HIGHER THAN HIS BELOVED SHIP! I DON'T SEE HIM SELLING HIS SOUL FOR YOUR STUPID AVATAR! GAWD!
*has a fit*
I could perhaps use that to my advantage…
ZeldaQueen: At the risk of spoiling anything (yeah, like this plot is so difficult to guess), this will be a running theme in this fic. Kate will be kidnapped by Jones nine million times and held like a helpless female, Jones will twirl his tentacle-mustache and go on about how she'll be vital to getting Jack to do what he wants, Kate will pretend to be valient and say she'll never let him get away with it, and he almost gets away with it, until the Suethor says otherwise he's a genre-blind idiot. So yeah, business as usual for Gethesemane's villains
