(no subject)
For the second time this year, I was able to enjoy sitting at home on my ass during a nasty snow storm. Normally, I'd be required to drag my ass into work on a day like today, because the phones would be crazy and people still need heat, even in snow storms. But at 6:30 this morning, as my bosses schlepped themselves into the office in their SUV, through snow that smaller cars would bottom out in, they realized that there really was no way I'd be able to make it in from Westfield. So as I was about to take a shower, I got a text instructing me to stay home, and call later (which I did, and despite their hopes that the roads would clear, they didn't, and I got to stay home the whole day).
So this was a lovely unexpected day off. I've spent it relaxing, and watching movies while studying. I'm going to finish my current chapter of American Govt, and clean the kitchen. Maybe by then Mike will be awake. It kind of bums me out that he's on third shift this week and slept through my snow day, but it did give me some peaceful alone time. My kitties have been sleeping all day too, which probably means they're going to be pains tonight. Maybe later I'll watch Syriana.
