Four drabbles--JE
Title: Four drabbles.

Characters: Shibutani Subaru, Yasuda Shota (Subassan pairing)

Notes: Inspired by a recent TV appearance.
They stand and bow and mutter their usual thanks to the crew filming their segment. Hina begins making his rounds to remind people how lucky they are that he didn't smack them during the talk. Yasu waves at the cameramen and turns to walk away with a smile.
He's halted in his progress by a tug at his arm. Subaru is still standing, having a polite conversation with the cue card holder, anchoring Yasu's motion. Gently, Yasu tries to pull his hand away. Subaru's grip tightens, though he doesn't miss a beat in the conversation over the man's hat.
Yasu tries again to pull his hand away, and this time Subaru responds by actually tugging in response. Once he's finished talking, Subaru drags Yasu off.
"What was that?" Yasu chuckles.
Subaru just smiles.

Jin decided that the apartment was pretty nice after all.
"I think I ought to move here," he called across the main living space, voice echoing down the short hall.
"Don't you think you'd have too much fun?" YamaPi poked his head out of the bathroom, glancing around to see where Jin's voice was coming from.
"When have you ever known me to party?"
"...I'm not answering that." (He would wonder for years how Jin managed to say that completely deadpan.)
"I'm a very..."--Jin tugged at a rogue piece of hair, staring hard into the mirror--"very serious person. Dedicated..." His voice trailed off as his eyes locked on the piece of hair, pulled directly in front of his nose.
YamaPi emerged from the bathroom and strolled up behind Jin. With a small smile, he reached out and ruffled the other man's hair.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Jin whirled around and instinctively planted a hand on top of YamaPi's head, flattening his just-styled hair.
YamaPi flashed a pout at Jin. Jin faltered for a moment, then flashed a slightly less effective pout back.
...Stalemate.

Notes: For koneho.
Nobody thought anything was strange when Ohkura came in with a new blue cell phone. ("It looked green at the store...")
Only Subaru flinched when Ohkura showed up with the little penguin phone charm. Things as they were, Subaru talked to Maru, and they soon both had their eyes on the drummer's activities.
When Ohkura lagged behind, Subaru and Maru moved conspiratorially closer to each other and discreetly looked back.
Ohkura smiled lazily at Yasu, watching the older man fiddle with one of his rings. As Maru and Subaru looked on, Ohkura's face gained a few slight shades of red. Maru moved to break the awkwardness between the two, but Subaru held him back. After a few moments, Ohkura reached out and turned down the cuff of Yasu's shirt sleeve. With a smile, Yasu nodded to Ohkura in thanks.
Maru relaxed and moved back beside Subaru, giving him an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
"Yeah, they'll be fine."

"I don't know how to tell you this..."
Ohno's eyes were attentive as Nino spoke, their hands joined across their knees.
"I've been thinking about it for a long time, really. I was too afraid to say anything..."
Ohno nodded as Nino continued, muttering a brief word of approval and understanding.
"But, now..." Nino leaned closer. "When I look into your eyes..." He cradled the straight-faced Ohno's cheek in one hand. "I can't look away. There's nothing else I want more in the world."
Ohno nodded again.
"I'm sick of this place, this job. It keeps us apart. Let's run away." Nino's hand slipped from Ohno's cheek to his shoulder.
Ohno's head tipped a bit to the side. "Say that again."
"Let's run away," Nino said, more earnestly, more urgently.
"Better. Yeah." Ohno smiled and patted Nino on the shoulder.
Nino smiled. "Yeah? What do you think, then?"
"You'll definitely get the part!"
